Well the Swedish format is approaching rationality.
Normally (as in numbers) the most significant part comes first. the
least significant last. Also we've had enough nonsense with 2 digit
years.
The most sensible format for today in numeric form is 2008/11/14 (ISO
and Japanese) (with a 24 hour clock).
Cheers

The default date format in Writer is depending on the language
setting in the document (all text, paragraph, selection ...)
- e.g. ->
English (US)
11/14/08 02:53:38 PM
English (UK)
14/11/08 14:53:38
Deutsch
14.11.08 14:53:38
EspaƱol
14/11/08 14:53:38
Sorry - I've forgotten:
Swedish
08-11-14 16:39:17
;-)
