I for one am GLAD the ISO is a DVD as it saves on blank discs. CDs will be obsolete soon as they simply do not hold enough data; much like the 360k floppy. If a person does not have a DVD drive by now ($20.00 USD brand new), he may as well wait and get one with his new machine that will also have USB and a HD over a gig. Floyd

I just went to the mirror project and discovered that the
newest CD ISO is actually a DVD ISO at 1.7 gig in size.

I was wondering when the 2.x CD ISOs would be upgraded to
the 3.0 files. Now it is in a DVD format. I was wondering why?

There are many computers that still do not have a DVD drive
installed. I have four. I do have and external DVD player/burner
drive but that does not help those who do not have one.

Why did the "ISO people" decide to go the DVD route, instead of
the CD route of 2.0 files?
I currently make my own CDs with the install files unpacked and add
the documents and add ons to the point the CD is filled.
I was waiting for the 3.0 ISOs to see what they were like. I use to give
out the 2.0 CDs (using the ISOs) before 3.0 came out.

So WHY the change to the DVD ISOs?
