Seems like you are trying to open the second sheet by once again opening OpenOffice.org Calc. Have you tried to stay within OpenOffice.org Calc and then click New → Spreadsheet? That should open a new fresh empty spreadsheet for you. Switch between them you can use the operating system (Alt+Tab or Super+Tab, depending on your operating system and/or desktop environment and/or other software) or inside OpenOffice.org by selecting it in the Window menu. Does this help?
