Hello John

I have read from your problems with the outprint and I have tried to move that with me at the calculator with your document. My first activity was the phonetic characters to reduces on 9pt, so they are in the cells without line-changes. The print-result on Lexmark x7300 Interpreting English transcription " was without any problem for the section " 1/2.

Sincerely
Franz

Using OOo 3.01 installed from special repository on Intrepid. Help>
About says 3.0.1 OOO300m15 (Build:9379).

In a 60-page document I have six pages with three-column frames, and
in each frame there are an average of 16 tables separated by a
carriage return. The frames are not linked. The tables are all
identical - two columns, one row, and the left column is 28 points
and the right column is 150 points. The left column contains just the
number of the problem (these are test questions) and the right column
contains a formula. Here is an example of the formula:

font Sans bold left [ font Serif nbold { alignl stack { +LABIAL #
+labiodental~ # ‑round # +voice } } right ]

The Sans font is set to Arial Unicode MS and the Serif font is set to
Junicode.
I tried the formula above and it prints (for me) just fine using
standard sans& serif fonts& also opened in Adobe Reader 8. If you'd
like to send me a few problem pages of the document (or the whole thing)
I'll be happy to test. I do have the junicode fonts, but I only have the
standard Arial, so you'll need to tell me where you got that one from.

I can test on the following:

On Intrepid - Gnome:
Ubuntu OOo PPA 3.0.1

On Hardy - Gnome:
Ubuntu OOo PPA 3.0.1
Ubuntu 2.4.1
OOo 3.0.1& 2.4.2

Printer is an Canon MP750 using TurboPrint drivers.

Thanks for the offer. I have attached the whole document - it's only 1.75 MB.
The problem pages are 11-16 of section 3, which are physical pages 23-28. The
problem formulas are for questions 13, 14, 16, 19, 47, 48, 52, 80, 81, 83, 84
and 85. But, of course, I get different results with different printers so
sometimes they're all wrong.

I misspook about the Arial Unicode MS font. I just double checked and, in fact,
I had it set to just Arial. I do have Arial Unicode MS installed and I set one
of the problem formulas to it just for kicks, but it still prints wrong.

Meantime, for my next efforts I'm going to install the nVidia drivers. Because
the screen view is wrong with, and when I export to PDF I get the screen view,
I'm suspecting that OOo may be using the screen image for something.

I'm replying to the list, so I don't know if the attachment will get knocked
out.
