I don't seem to have the problem, but there are always several different 
ways of doing things so if it only happens in certain ways perhaps I 
wouldn't have come across it. But as I said, I don't recall anyone else 
having that issue either.

   Have you made sure the auto filename extension box is checked in the 
Save As dialog etc., as Harold suggested?
