Dear Sirs.,
Ehh... <grmpf>

I absolutely love the Open Office! However, I have one reallly big
problem , when I have e-mailed my resume or other documents in which I
used Open Office, I have found that many people who receive these
e-mails cannot open them or print them out. Am I doing something
wrong? What can I do to fix the problem? I am not computer saavy,
but do have a basic understanding, Please help!
Never send a RESUME as odt, doc, sxw or something like this.

Many companies require some text format which is searchable. This
usually means .DOC, though some will also accept plain text, RTF etc.

Ms Konzack's e-mail, went on to say "OpenOffice can natively export to PDF which is working on ANY Operating Systems including crappy MS-DOS 6.22."

Are you suggesting that PDF is not searchable? All the PDFs I've ever seen are readily searchable using free readers such as Adobe Acrobat.

Sending a document as PDF has two advantages:

   * it is much more likely to be readable on the recipient's system,
     whatever that is
   * it is much less likely that the recipient can alter it either by
     accident or by design
