Your presumption is incorrect. OOo supports several flavours of
English,
including UK.
That's debatable. There are some long-standing bugs with language
support in OOo-2.x, such as ( but definitely not limited to ):
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=40240
In my experience, OOo-1.x is the only version that supports actually
*using* non-US dictionaries.
OK, so our experience is very different. I have not had any major
difficulty setting up non-US English language options (several
flavours
- currently using Australian) for OOo 2.x.x
My first hand practical experience, proves the OP's assertion that OOo
only supports US English was incorrect.
Agreed. I have set up AU English without any problems.
