You failed to state two things: 1. What is the Operating System you are using? 2. What is the speed and type of processor in your system? Say you are using a very slow IBM PC based system running Windows NT, and using a marginal amount of memory, it can take a very long time to open a lengthy document. However, if you are using a very fast IBM PC system with a large amount of memory, this document can be opened very quickly (say less than five seconds.)
