If you want to make sure this image is in the correct place in
each page, you need to be using Page styles: at least Left Page and
Right Page. This will allow you to set not only your odd page numbers
on the right side of the header (Right Page) but also the even page
numbers on the left side of the header (Left Page). You will need to
set up a different header for your right pages and your left pages.
How to do this is explained in the Styles chapter in the Getting
Started Guide available at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthor2/. There are
also two chapters on styles listed in the Writer Guide on that page.
