This is an old bug, see here : http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=48666 A shame it's available in all applications (under Linux) except OOo !

OOo 2.2, Ubuntu Feisty, amd64 Everything was working perfectly. If I wanted to insert a special character I could hold down Ctrl+Shift, type u, release Ctrl+Shift, type the hex code, hit the space bar, and my character would appear. Now when I hold down Ctrl+Shift and type u, nothing happens. It's still working fine in all other programs, e.g. right here in Sylpheed I can type → and it works fine. I have made no upgrades to OOo, but I'm always changing an option somewhere. What could I have done that turned this off? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
