I have no problems copying text from a PDFCreator PDF document. Works
just fine for me. Perhaps your PDF reader program is outdated or broken?

Can you show me working bookmarks and hyperlinks in a PDFCreator PDF?

Got me there :-)

Ever try to save an OOo PDF in anything above 1200 dpi? Ever try to
print a web page from OOo PDF? For that matter, ever try to print to PDF
using OOo from any other application?

Sigh... I don't disagree that OOo's PDF works well & yes I do use it
frequently. But again I'll go back to Frank's question (which I was
responding to) & expand a bit further for you:

<quote>
Is there an equivalent to CUPS-PDF that can run on Windows?

For anyone who doesn't know, CUPS-PDF is a "special" printer driver that
allows you to direct your printer output to a printer named "cups-pdf"
which turns it into a PDF file. That way, you can directly get a PDF
file out of any program that's capable of printing to a printer.
</quote>

*That way, you can directly get a PDF file out of any program that's
capable of printing to a printer.*

OOo is *not* a virtual printer as is cups-pdf. PDFCreator comes very
close to cups-pdf & uses ghostscript as it's engine. With perhaps the
exception of bookmarks & html links, PDFCreator does just fine and can
be used to print from any "any program that's capable of printing to a
printer".
