At the risk of intertwining threads, I should point out again that OOo's pdf creation doesn't offer the same set of options as printing does - no 2-up booklet-reordered output for example. I've been working on getting something going to allow non-interactive odt => pdf conversion, using an OOo macro to print postscript to a file, then using psbook, psnup and ps2pdf (all iirc part of ghostscript) to convert to a pdf booklet. Best of both worlds, but a ham-fisted way of having to do things. And not so much a steep learning curve - more of a tall cliff, the top of which I seem to be approaching slowly :-) In the process, I've found other possibilities that some developer might like to think about: eg I have a standing requirement for a typical 3-up fanfold pamphlet. OOo unaided /cannot/ do this "properly" (try numbering the pages, or using headers and footers :-) ) (Oh, btw, I think someone said pdfcreator was not free. Bullzip for windows seems to work reasonably well and is a freebie. Others have suggested cutepdf) -- various incoming sites blocked because of spam; see http://www.scottsonline.org.uk for a list and openpgp crypto key (key fingerprint 2ACC 9F21 5103 F68C 7C32 9EA8 C949 81E1 31C9 1364) [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mike Scott, Harlow, Essex, England --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
