Hello Debbie, If you bought OpenOffice.org, it was certainly not from us here at the users list. You can get OOo for free at the official OpenOffice.org webpages http://www.openoffice.org If you want your money back (and I surely would try!) you'll have to contact the people you bought OOo from. But even if you can get OOo for free, anybody who wants to sell it (e.g. on a CD etc.) is free to do so if (s)he follows the LGPL licence. I don't know too much about the Impress component of OOo (alike PowerPoint) but I see at least 2 ways to add a slide: from the top menu Insert > Slide (or Duplicate Slide), from the Presentation toolbar > Slide. Maybe your Presentation Toolbar is the one disappearing (see View > Toolbars > Presentation). On my screen its sits at the right of the Standard toolbar. Does this help? -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.3 m221 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and brazilian OOo 2.3 RC 3 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
