Ok, this is a good progress. I know it is not ideal, but at least it means
that you can continue working on your document.

Unfortunately I do not know. Have you experienced problems with other
dialogs (even with other programs not necessarily with OOo only).
Maybe though, it is better to take a step back: which operating system are
you using? Windows, Linux, MacOS?
Also, as the problem seems to be the display of that dialog box maybe you
could open a new thread specifically on that (many volunteers ignore threads
that already have answers such as this one, regardless whether the problem
is solved or not).

The computer is working very well for everything except for the missing buttons
at the bottom of the dialog box. It appears to me that one file is corrupted
and needs to be repaired however I do not know how to make such a repair.
WindowsXP is used.
