Aherm, StarOffice was developed by a seperate German company,
StarDivision, innitially and bought by sun in 1999. The source code was
opensourced to create OpenOffice.org in 2000.

Secondly Suns main Operating System is "Solaris" which although a Unix
flavour is not Linux. In fact over time Sun seem to have had a Love/Hate
relationship with Linux as shown by the top 10 Google results for "sun
linux" (duplicate links omitted):

Sun's Linux killer shows promise | The Register
Sun eyes alliances with Linux rivals | CNET News.com

Sun Wah Linux {= Not related

Desktop Linux: Sun Shines

In fact Solaris competes openly with Linux as it is mostly Open Source
now and available for X86 machines free:

Of course OO.o is available as is StarOffice on Solaris.
