Great that you want to use openoffice.
The majority of us do not have solidworks but may have used other
systems that present difficulties in changing over to Open Office.
What version of excel are you running?
What error messages or reactions do you get when trying to open these
drawings under openoffice.
Could you also give us details of the operating system and the
specification of the machine you are using just to complete the picture
for us.
