Along those same lines, I've 3 perfectly good systems running right now that I recovered from a school's 'recycle' bin that they'd tossed; supposedly because they didn't meet Windows Vista specs. They are 2.4Ghz/40Mb/256Mb systems with Intel motherboards. Added some memory (384/512/1G), reformated & installed linux, and on one even kept Windows as a dual boot machine (for troubleshooting), and they all run like a top. Recovered another 1.6Ghz/40M/128Mb system; added some memory, an additional hard drive (again recycled), tuned it up w/linux & my son's family are quite happy with their 'new' system :-) Note: I'd had them on OOo for the past two years under Windows - and they are *very* happy with the linux version. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
