The availability of a thesaurus depends on the language. For many
flavours of English - US, GB, ..., yes; For many non English languages,
also yes, for others no. Spell checking is also standard but for many
more languages. The documentation is at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/ which is over and above what's in
the Help.
