Microsoft has already announced they'll extend XP for those low end
systems. However, as always, Linux provides better performance than
XP on the same hardware. Also, I understand that some vendors reduce
the hardware, to help keep the cost down, when Windows is installed.
This will cause a further performance difference.
This is exactly what the original poster of the thread was talking
about. Your constant demeaning of any operating system except Linux does
nothing to offer help to someone who has a particular problem with OO.o
on another platform. Personally, If I am interested in testing the
proposition that Linux performs better on my hardware than XP tablet
edition I am quite capable of making the comparison for myself and do
not need a born again Linux proselytizer to constantly belittle my
informed choices for me. If you want to offer help for a problem someone
is having please do, that is why most of us are here. Please do not
constantly belittle those of us that choose to use something other than
your preference in the process.
Regards
Keith
