I carry the Windows version of OpenOffice and a few other apps on a flash drive, so that I'm always ready to install it for someone. As has been said, Linux users generally don't need such help. Even if they're not technically inclined, many Linux distros make it very easy for them to download and install applications, without even realizing that it's being downloaded.
