I started to install ooo but I stopped because the complete installation did not allow me to select the target directory. I then downloaded the pdf file that was supposed to be a complete set of installation instructions. Maybe so, but the information was for version 1 and does not apply to current versions. I then tried the custom install, but this appears to be broken. It allows choice of target directory, but it has a serious problem with selecting components of the program to install. I want to do a complete install to the target directory of my choice.
Can anyone help with this? I am very sorry to say that my initial impression is very negative. If the installation is this bad, I am skeptical about the quality of the ooo suite itself. I would still like to try it, so any help will be welcome.
