For me, this message - from jonathon, using gmail - did NOT contain the bottom-of-message instructions.
However, enough messages (the majority) _do_ include the bottom-of-message unsubscribe instructions that the troll called "m.a.martin" could not have missed them. If it actually has a subscription problem (and isn't just a full-on troll), then it probably subscribed via an address that it rarely uses, but has forwarded to its other address(es). Maybe the troll should learn to read message headers, to find out the path followed by the list-mail that lands in its in-box. If it ever actually tried to unsubscribe (which is probably a lie), I wonder if the troll: a) bothered to read the confirmation request message b) bothered to notice if a confirmation request message arrived c) bothered to check if his/its spam-blocker was blocking the confirmation request... etc., etc., etc. OR, one of its "friends" might have jokingly subscribed it, because it allowed the "friend" to know the access info for its e-mail account. Some people would have the grace to be embarrassed by the results of their own carelessness. Trolls, of course, are not. We should stop feeding the troll, and whoever's in charge of the list should: a) block its messages from reaching the list b) then, after letting it suffer another week, unsubscribe it. - Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: jonathon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2008 16:08 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [users] Hello > > On Tue, Sep 2, 2008 at 03:26, Zoltán Kócsi wrote: > > > I could not work out yet the logic behind having the unsubs info or not > having it, some messages contain it, others do not. > > Every message sent to the list contains unsubscribe headers.
