Jim,

Much discussion happened on this while I was out of town for a few days --
I'll just say that I agree with your point of view, and that I haven't
written again to push for "purer" SI usage.  However, when I next have a
similar opportunity to write someone, I may suggest m^2 or km^2 primarily,
and hectares secondarily.
