I don't think "reversion" is an appropriate term here. Ikea is a Swedish 
company that entered North American markets. Amost all of their items are 
designed and labelled in hard-metric units. Imperial units are sometimes listed 
as secondary. Some of the larger display signs are Imperial, but the labelling 
is (and probably will remain) metric.
