You are right on ... there is a tremendous "lack" of pressure
differential at lower/part throttle operation ... (taking the "Y" off
in spades) .......... Flow up top is not a problem .... and thats
where you really get to take advantage of the reduced restriction ...
Sooooooo ... anything you do to add restriction back on ... in order
to improve low end responsiveness is just going to cost you up top
....... You just have to find an acceptable medium that you can live
with or tune for whatever you are doing .... ie: if you are doing a
dyno run or are drag racing ... who cares if the bottom is a little
light ....... I guess this is why you see all of these RPM triggered
trap doors on some of the intakes of the newer bikes ... so they can
have it both ways ... Isn't technology wonderful ??
