Louis,
I'm with those suspecting the pilot circuits here ... blowing out
those little guys that live in the fuel bowl is great but there are a
lot of paths that include two pilot air jets, the mixture screw hole,
(below the throttle plates), and three bypass holes, (above the
throttle plates), on each carb. This is what you are really running on
at light throttle and steady throttle below 4500 RPM ....... A really
good way to clear these passages is to remove the pilot mixture screws
and use a blow gun there with a compressor .... you won't hurt
anything but some fuel is likely to blow straight up out of the air
jet at the top of the carb. This is very effective and you don't have
to pull the carbs. Of course this doesn't mean that your fuel bowl
levels shouldn't still be equal, and that the carbs should be in sync
... etc ..
