Charles, check wth nearest distributor that handles Brembos. You want
world class brakes? Look no farther. Also going to 17" wheels will put a
better foorprint in contact with the ground, also a lower center of
gravity. Where ever you can cut weight off a max do so. There's only
about 180 lb's difference between the two, so no wonder a max handles
like a pig. You've done the front suspension, now you need to do the
rear. I don't care how new a max is, right off the floor throw the
shocks as far as you can. Their junk and nowhere near as well made as
the ones for R1 or R6. You people keep complaining about how sorry a
max handles and brakes. It took 15 yr's. from the 86' GSXR 750 to todays
model to get where they are. If you don't say something, nothing's going
to happen. Hellraiser? You bet.
