Eric, no problem. Kosy finally found the limit when running with a
friend, its a 85 with flatslides and a Venture rear, it pulls past
redline in 5th. He has a 180/70-16 on a 16X5.5 rim. He was at where 175
would show on a max speedo. After a couple of miles a vibration came in.
A 1" chunk was missing in the middle. He didn't let the tire warm up
though. Back in late 80's Cycle World did a endurance test on GSXR750.
Found out trying to hit speed without the tire warmed up it would chunk
the tread from a cold tire. So they would run at about a 100 for 3-4
miles then come up to speed. The rating on the tires are for a 2 hour
continous speed. So a "V" is for 2 hr's.@149mph. I've recommended it to
some people here and no problems. I've road the bikes, some still stock
suspension and SCARY, but the tires work to the edge.
