(Sorry for replying to myself, but) another option, of course, is just
copying and pasting the text straight from the browser into a non-HTML
email (or the "plain text" part of your email-sending interface).  Most
browsers will even do a simple html-to-text conversion, replacing e.g.,
unordered list items with textual '*' bullets, &c.
