Hi, Sérgio. Would you please explain "why" you think so, or point out a reference to that effect. I even qualified my comment initially leaving room for doubt, but, if I am missing something, I would like a valid explanation of why you said that it "... is a bad solution" instead of simply your opinion.
I am inclined to think that Oracle created the functionality of "USB passthrough" for VB for good reason, and I also think that the idea relating to security depend primarily on how the shared folders would be used and the contents of these folders. I mean, as far as security is concerned in connection with shared folders, consider this, which is right in the manual online: "If any host folder is shared with the guest then a remote user connected to the guest over the network can access these files too as the folder sharing mechanism cannot be selectively disabled for remote users." So what is it exactly that you object to regarding the use of a USB and your preference for shared folders?
