We have recently gone to applying the BioPatch immediately after insertions when the clinical indications present, as you mentioned, virtually no bleeding.  Should we not place the BioPatch on at that time, it is then placed with a 24 hour dressing change.

Subject: 24 hour dressing changes

Was wondering if everyone is still doing 24 hour drsg. changes if you place a biopatch immediately after placement of PICC/ML.  Of course if there is no bleeding.

Are you placing pressure drsg on outside of sterile drsg? 2x2's and coban?

Thanks!
