We do not do a 24 hour drsg change if we put a bio-patch, we have designated every Wednesday as central line drsg change day. This has really help with compliance. Nor do we place an external pressure drsg unless needed.
Michelle Hansen, RN Northeast Baptist PICC Nurse office 297-2422 pager 235-9779 >>> "candee eisenhart" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 10/30/2006 11:47 AM >>> Was wondering if everyone is still doing 24 hour drsg. changes if you place a biopatch immediately after placement of PICC/ML. Of course if there is no bleeding. Are you placing pressure drsg on outside of sterile drsg? 2x2's and coban? Thanks! Candee Eisenhart CRNI Candee J.
