Howdy List!!
I know I don't post that often and sometimes read even
less. However, I'm looking for something and i hope the list can help.
First the back story:
The week before Thanksgiving I was invited to take a day trip up to
Erie, PA for some steelhead fishing. We discussed a few technics
that I saw from previous trips that they used that I hadn't including
2 flys vs 1 fly setups. We got to their chosen section of Elk Creek
and I started with a white woolly bugger while one of the others
rigged up. After my buddy started fishing, I decided to switch to a
2 fly rig and tied onto my white wooly a 'junk' fly -- something I
had tied up to try as an experiment. Unfortunately, I had 1 of those
fly's in my box and that was it. I caught 2 good sized steelie's and
hooked up on a 3rd before I was broke off. Those were the only fish
caught by the 3 of us that day. I came home and tied some up for the
people I was fishing with as well as one for another fella that was
going up after Turkey Day. He went up and had quickly hooked up on
a nice sized fish before it went under the ice and broke him off. He
came back and asked to buy 2 more from me.
And there's the problem -- I can't find the material any more. I
still have some, but I definitely want more. It's Spirit River brand
Body-Brite Bagged Purple. It's not on Spirit River's website nor
have I seen in on Flea-Bay. I wanted to try Byards site - our list
IS possible because of him, but when I try linesend.com it comes up
as if it doesn't exist any more. I know I've been inactive for a
long time, have I missed something? Any leads on a place that has it
stock would be excellent before I hit the only alternative that looks
right at Orvi$.
