Pat, Knowing Syl, I can relate to what you are saying. I used to fish a trailer ( dropper) fly behind a bass bug for bass. Most fish were taken in the trailer fly and a lot of double hookups with a bass on the trailer and a big sunfish on the Popper. I will admit, some of the fish on the trailer were foul hooked. It seems that the bass come up to slap the popper and hooked themselves on the trailer. I have not used a dropper for trout fishing so I can't tell you anything about that. I have had some foul hooked trout on a single fly. They are usually hooked just in front of the dorsal fin or in the tail. Tony [EMAIL PROTECTED]
