Yeah, it "snags" the rest of my terminal tackle & makes a hell of a mess more times than not... :-) I would expect this from Mr. Nemes, and I don't have a problem with anything he says, afterall, he's an institution in our sport. It is, however, one man's approach or opinion. There are others that come from the same era of flyfishing as he does, that fished with wet flies, and used not only ONE dropper, but TWO!!! I'm sure many would agree that this is a common age old wet fly fishing technique. I was introduced to it over the past season using a muddler minow with two good 'ol patterns trailing it, called the "Governor." HELL of a rig!!! Sure made a believer out of me, especially fishing it after dark...!
I will say, however, that almost exclusively, all the fish I have "snagged" using droppers, have been "snagged" right in the upper or lower jaw where their teeth are, as in they were trying to eat the thing! Funny how that works... :-)
