I'm going to build my next rod. It will become a 8wt for walleye and occasionally sea trout. I already have the blanc from Dorber - and here are 2 questions:
I like the one food guides I usually use on my rods - but I have only used them on 6wt and lighter rods. Do these rings work on a 8 wt as well? For me they look a bit fragile. Any experience?
I would like to build the rod as a single hand rod. Is it too heavy for it? Should I add a fighting butt at least?
