I'll have a go with a few of each of the Guinea and Egyptian in the "devil's
engine" and see how they turn out compared to the other suggestions. I
haven't tried the woolite trick on quills (just soaked them in luke warm
water so far) I'll have a bash at some Francolin breast feathers that
usually drive me up the wall with quills splitting.

Just waiting for the final word from the insurance assessor but all
indications are that its a write off.
