My wife and I are spinners and weavers. I am assuming a "carding brush" is what is really called a card. It's a board, either flat or curved, with a handle on one side; the surface of the board (or card) is covered with a cloth that is covered with metal hooks, similar to really aggresive velcro, only made of steel. Two of these are used together to align the fibers before spinning them.
For a picture, http://www.woolery.com/fiberprepfr.html about 1/2 way down the page are some good cards; For our use, to prepare dubbing etc, a flick card (about 3/4 of the way down the page) is good - you use one and comb the fiber against a piece of leather or new blue jeans. A cat comb works well for this. --- Steve, In Maryland ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10
