Chris,
I had a combination of two problems. Adaware and 'spies' were slowing my pc
way down and causing program crashes. I upgraded my spybot program and
caught another 30 or so spy cookies.

But a real bug- a miller moth- was jammed in the cpu cooling fan- slowing or
stopping it I don't know which, and was causing the whole pc to just stop
and re-boot. We re-set the system temps in config-sys, so if it happens
again, I'll get an alarm signal.

Everything up and running today- no shutdowns and real fast. I LIKE it!!!!

A big thanks to everyone that helped with advise! It all was useful.

guy- as a deterrent, but the last thing you want to do is use them."
