[VFB] Fishing this weekend

Well I was supposed to go to a concert this weekend that got cancelled, so we decided to go fishing for a couple days on the Crooked River. We left Friday after I got off work and arrived at camp right at dark. This was the first time we took Nate with us on one of the "guys" weekend trips (Nate is my 4 yr. old son). Fishing was a little slow but we did manage a few, I handed the rod off to Nate a couple of times when I hooked a fish. One of these was a nice fat 13" redside trout that jumped pretty good for him (I got a good pic of Nate and I holding the fish). Today we only fished for about an hour before the rain broke loose on us. I did pass the rod off to Nate on a little 8" trout but when the big one hit and started running out to the middle of the river I knew I had to get in the water for the fight. Even though he didn't get to help he was very excited that I did catch a big fish, about 17" and around 2.5 to 3 lbs. It was a great weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better fishing buddy for the trip.   Jim
