A friend of mine fishes the Lil L frequently. Like 5 days from 7. I sent him a pattern called a Cats Whisker which he uses if the water is high and muddy. It was this last week apparently. The Cat takes fish every time.
Its a quickish tie :
Hook L/S 10 to 14 ( 10's are best)
Thread. White
Tail: White Marabou
Rib: Medium Flat silver
Body : Chartreuse chenile
Wing White Marabou
Eyes: Bead chain
Tie the eyes in first, take the thread to the tail, tie in the rib, tail, body.
Wrap the rib. Tie in the wing finish the fly.
Easy and quick and VERY productive.
Hope this helps.
Keith

Subject: [VFB] Fishing this weekend
Hey, everyone!
It looks like I'll be going up to the Lil' Lehigh river this weekend (WOO HOO! Friday 6am til late saturday), and a fishing buddy of mine suggested some flies. I have several Trico patterns, but was wondering about 3... and unfortunately, he's now overseas, so I can't ask him. Now forgive my ignorance - I'm not good with "known" patterns, but does anyone know:
the Globugs, Sucker Spawn, or Honeybug Inchworm patterns?
Any help before Friday morning would be great! I'm a moderately fast tyer, but it'll be hard to get the bugs tied friday morning with the caffeine-and-anticipation induced hand-quivering! This will be the first time out in over a month, almost two months!
Thanks again, and Tight Wraps,
Pete
