Maybe I'm all wet (like A. Fish should be?), but
it seems to me that we're getting too few new
people.
When I first joined the list, there were a lot of
beginners on the list with a lot of fly-fishing
questions. Very few new " 'Bama Hicks " ;-) have
joined recently.
The newbie's fishing questions generate a lot of
good helpful information. Many times some of us
old-timers ended up saying (usually to ourselves
to not diminish our egos), "Hmmmmmm. I should-a
thought of that!"
Do we all now know it all? Or think we do??????
I don't see any "How do you........?" questions
any more.
Maybe we should tell our friends about the list to get some new blood in it.
I've been lurking on FF@ again. Somehow I don't
think the Nutella, coffee, coffee makers, etc.
belong on this list. And frankly, political
discussions are why I left the FF@ list in the
first place.
If we start getting political here, color me gone.
Yust my 2ยข wert.
And don't forget. This list costs money to
maintain. At one time I heard it was something
like less that 10% of us paid our 'dues'. If you
can't afford the $15.00 per year, heck, send
Byard $5.00 or something to help him maintain the
list. I'm sure every litter-bit would be
appreciated. The best deal is the $35.00
supporting membership, wherein you get a nice
fishing cap and 5% off all your purchases from
LinesEnd.com.
If you need specific directions on how to
contribute, ask. If you don't want to get
bombarded with 25 different descriptions of how
to support the list, contact one of us directly
(off-list). Everyone's e-mail is in the header
(and sometimes in the footer).
