Hi, I connected this external CD drive to my IIsi but CDs inserted don't show in the Desktop. The drive is the last device in the SCSI chain: Zip Drive (ID 5 & termination OFF) CD drive (ID 2 with terminator).
The Zip discs mount OK. In the Extensions folder (OS 7.5.5) I have these installed: Audio CD Access Foreing File Access High Sierra File Access ISO 9660 File Access
Am I missing any software? Thanks.
Harold-------- What kind of drive is it? That is, what BRAND is it? If it is not an Apple drive, you most likely will need a driver. Google for "CD-Sunrise" as a driver that can "see" most non-Apple drives.

Glyph. It says Glyph on the outside, but I think it's a Sony. I bought it several years ago. I've used first with a PowerMac 6500 and then with the bege G3 which is my main computer. It came with a Toast Install CD, which installs the "Toast CD Reader" extension. Would it work with this extension? I'll try. If it doesn't then I'll look for CD-Sunrise. Thank you.
