I can't go to the machine level without knowing the Yamaha's model number. I am reasonably sure that, if the Glyph is a truly Mac-useable device, and if it was last used on a Mac and NOT on a PC, the settings you will find on the Yamaha are the ones that make it interface properly to the Mac and need no changes. The REAL issue lies in whether the CD driver (extension) makes the Mac "see" the device or if a cable, a missing external terminator or SCSI ID setting are the road blocks that keep the thing from working. When used on a Mac other than a PPC running O.S. 9.2, my secret was the use of FWB CD ROM ToolKit extension along with the Apple CD Extensions that came with the O.S. sevenish system. The machine "knew" the CD burner was there and in the Toast window, I saw my burner identified. It never mounted to the desktop, but kicked out a finished CD when I adjusted the RAM buffer high enough and copied the program or music to the computer first. Disk-to-disk copies were unsuccessful at any setting. Jeff G -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
