Well, I have a Smart And Friendly external CD Burner I've used on older Macs and this G3 tower. It works with Toast 3.57 and its extension, and the Apple CD ROM extensions. When firing up, the machine always gives me a warning that some third-party extension is driving the CD Burner, but I can burn CDs with little problem.
