5.3.1 is a universal driver that was used with OS 8.0 I believe but works with everything I've tried from 7.1 right thru to 9.1, and is 68k compatible. You might also want to try finding a little Utility called 'Mt. Anything' which is a little control panel that will force-mount pretty much anything.
