I'm hesistant to extend this topic further, but I don't think this
proves anything except that a laptop isn't appropriate in all cases. If
you need power, a desktop probably makes more sense (more power, much
cheaper); a laptop might be necessary only to show ones work to clients,
and could be a much less powerful unit.

These are good points. I forgot that SGI was running NT on their x86
boxes. No wonder none of their loyal users switched. :-)
