Just wanted to update this thread. I picked up a
rebuild kit, pulled the carb and took the top off.
Drained the fuel out of it and stared at it for a few
minutes trying to get familiar with all the
passageways. Pulled the jets, accelerator squirter,
and accelerator diaphram and started blasting every
opening with carb cleaner, followed with compressed
air. "wash. rinse. repeat", paying special attention
to the vein between the accelerator pump and the
outlet, I put it back together, fired it up and all is
good again. Thanks for the tips gang. You folks are
great!
