Hi, Asad, You've probably checked this out already, but is there not a piece of fibreboard, plywood, thick polyethylene plastic, or the like on the seat springs directly above the battery? Shorting of the battery terminals by seat springs was a chronic problem on older beetles, especially when there was any load on the rear seat bench. The best fix was to put a sturdy insulating shield on the underside of the springs.
Just a thought. Bert _______________________________________________ vintagvw site list [email protected] http://lists.sjsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/vintagvw
