Hi, Asad,

Well, I dug out my files and got one of your answers, but not the other.

First, the AF engine was a 1600 made from 8/1970 through 12/1977.

The chart shows it had a measured displacement of 1548 cc (85.5 bore, 69 mm
stroke). It put out 46 DIN hp (PS) at 4000 rpm. Its CR was only 6.6:1. It
only produced 9.8 mkg of torque at 2600 rpm. Maybe somebody else on the
list knows what markets it was sold in. (For example, my AH engine was a
California-only engine used in 1971-76 models only.)

None of my lists, all from German sources, shows an AV engine. The A- often
identifies a 1302/1302 (long-nose or "Super Beetle" model). An AJ engine
appeared on some 1975 beetles.

I hope some of the other list guys can help with the other information.

Grüße from Nashville,

Bert Knupp
